Essex Wildlife Trust charity Golf Day
We were invited to attend this year’s Essex Wildlife Trust charity
golf day, which was being held at The Warren Golf Club. The course itself is a
lovely peaceful place with a lot of undulating woodland making some of the holes
very tough on the legs. One of which aptly named "Cardiac Hill" felt more like you were trying to climb mount Killamanjaro...
The event was very well attended with over 70 competitors
taking part. The day started with Bacon Rolls and coffee and we teamed up with our
friends at Lemon Fencing then set off out for the first 18 holes.
After the golf we were treated to a fantastic 3 course meal with
a charity auction to follow. After some furious bidding for some great lots
ranging from a round of golf at a PGA standard course, to a dolls house. Everyone
then moved into the bar to watch the fairly drab England v Ukraine football
match.
The day was a resounding success in raising money for what
is a very important charity. The aim of the Essex wildlife trust is to protect
wildlife for the future. It is supported financially by members, local
businesses and grant making organisations.
We took the opportunity to sponsor the 18th hole
and used one of our pop up Horizontal A frames on the tee for some Guardian
Display brand awareness . Our lightweight pop up A frames are perfect for golf
days to create instant some instant branding, they are lightweight and easy to
put up and take down.
